The program was designed for beginning readers who recognize the names and sounds of a few letters. Play continued until all of the eggs had been flipped and then the boys switched roles and started again. To give the boys practice writing the words, they had to spell them on their record sheet like this: Then the flipper used the spatula to flip over that egg. The caller secretly picked a word and read it out loud. We assigned my son as the caller and named my middle son (a kindergartener) the flipper. I grabbed a spatula and invited the kids to come and play. I cut along the black lines to separate the eggs and spread them out face up on a flat surface. To prep the second game, I printed Egg Flip on cardstock and laminated the pages to give them extra durability. We happily slid our pieces back to start and began round two. We continued playing until my son reached the finish line first and won the game. Then it was my turn to roll, read and write. We both wrote the word on our record sheet under the column “Player One.” It was a four, so he moved his LEGO four spaces and read the word out loud, “for.” The prep was as quick and easy as it comes! Then, I printed the Treasure Hunt game board and record sheets and grabbed our playing die. To customize the sight word games, I simply typed our 18 words on the getting started page and let the file pop the words into the right spots on both games. Great to see the final CG also included in here for a proper comparison that highlights that lack of illumination especially around the warp engines. It's good to see how much made it from design to screen here and again from screen into the model which has to be one of the most accurate. The magazine covers off the design work behind the Flyer with some highly detailed concepts. The only downpoint here is that any of the Borg or exterior "live" sections don't have as strong a presence off the screen since they cannot be animated. Definitely one to display and a ship that deserved the XL treatment to really show off its lines. The scale lends itself to the smaller ships (Runabout incoming) and with no extraneous parts this one is built to last. The overall effect of the Delta Flyer is fantastic and trounces the original tenfold. In reference to the underside, the panelling is strong although the occasional Borg/Starfleet callouts do lack a little definition as on the upper side but what I do like - and is the same on the top - is the ridged effect on the phaser strips. These elements do look a little blotchy on closer inspection and don't quite carry off the vibrant and pulsing nature of the ones onscreen. In some instances the lines almost blend with the paint while, towards the rear in particular, the panelling is very pronounced with the coloured grey/green Borg highlights emphasising the exposed parts. It's a mammoth size craft that packs out its box and has some of the best close-up detail that Eaglemoss has produced to date. Let's put this one into perspective though. Along with the Runabout (up for apologetically late review next), this model exemplifies why the XL line exists and also that there are certain craft which will benefit even more than you expect from an increase in scale.įeaturing in the latter half of Voyager, the super shuttle was something of an enigma when it came to entering and leaving the ship but hey, there was a lot of room in that bay for all the other support craft too, right? Admittedly Voyager and by proxy the Flyer were never among the most revered of ships in Star Trek but in this case I couldn't say no. At that point, the insurance company pays 100%, and you’re done paying the co-insurance. You’ll continue to pay co-insurance on the covered expenses that require it until you meet your $4,000 out-of-pocket maximum. You will cover 20% of the covered expense ($20) and your insurance company will cover 80% ($80). You visit the dermatologist (a specialist) and have a $100 bill. When you visit a specialist, you have a 20% co-insurance. For example, let’s say you’ve met your deductible of $2,500 for the year. After you meet your deductible, you’ll likely have what’s called a “co-insurance.” A co-insurance is basically a fancy term for the cost sharing percentage between you and the insurance company. The out-of-pocket maximum is the most you’ll pay out of pocket for the policy year. Your deductible is the amount you’ll pay before the health insurance company begins helping you pay for your covered expenses. How much you pay out of pocket depends primarily on two things: your deductible and your out-of-pocket maximum. Here are some key differentiators to keep in mind as you make your coverage decisions. My answer is always that it depends on your unique healthcare needs and your personal budget. It requires you to think about what you want and need in a plan, and how much your budget is. One of the most common questions I get is, “Which is better: a high deductible health plan or a co-pay plan?” The answer isn’t that simple. This week we sat down with head of the advisor team, Emily Joyce, to discuss a frequently asked question: what’s the difference between a high deductible health plan and a co-pay plan, and why does it matter?Īs a Gravie advisor, I field a lot of questions about different types of health insurance plans. My personal issues aside, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is a solid title. I wish I could offer a more coherent bit of commentary on this, dear reader, but my lack of focus when it comes to this game I perhaps something worth bearing in mind when you decide whether or not to buy it. As a longtime fan of the Zelda series, I should have adored this game, because all the right elements are there for me to adore, but I don’t. By all accounts, the exploration, combat, and story should have been engaging enough to keep me around, but they weren’t. Oddly, I can’t think of any qualifiable reason why. For some reason, this game was not able to hold my attention very well, and I could never play it for long stretches at a time the way I do most games. I mentioned earlier that I didn’t finish Oceanhorn 2, and I feel I should explain why. That dead-eyed look in the character’s eyes is pretty consistent. Of the presentational issues I encountered, this was the most jarring, but again it does not completely ruin the game. Finally, there was an issue in some parts of the overworld where enemies would very suddenly drop from the sky to start encounters, and while this in itself is not so bad every time it happened the camera would focus in on them in a very disorienting way that also broke the flow of gameplay by forcing you to stop and watch. There were a few instances of improper grammar or misspelled words here and there, but nothing that stuck out too much and certainly not enough to ruin the experience, but there nonetheless. It’s hard to be too critical of this, as it is still a game with an indie budget and one has to consider that when judging a game’s graphics, but still – unsettling. For starters, the character models are detailed and well-rendered, but they look a bit lifeless at times, especially during cutscenes and conversations. While not a mess, there are definitely things to be critical of. Though the story and gameplay are both sound, the presentation is where Oceanhorn 2 starts to show the most faults. The water effects are rather impressive… as one would hope for a game with “Ocean” in its title. It gave me very Mortal Engines (the books, not the movie) vibe, through both that and its aesthetic, which I very much enjoyed. While I didn’t get through the whole game for reasons I’ll touch on later, the part that I did play seemed to be shaping up to say something about the dangers of hubris and authoritarian nationalism surprisingly complex themes. That said, the story of this one was fairly compelling. That’s fine, to be honest since it’s not really a game designed to be stealth-oriented in any way, but it’s still odd that they would make any attempt to include it at all.Īpparently, Oceanhorn 2 is a prequel to the original, but as I stated previously I remember very little about Monster of Uncharted Seas, so I can’t really speak to that. Another way to get bonus damage is to hit unaware enemies, but I found the stealth mechanics to be a bit lacking as I could very rarely manage to sneak up on anything. Though sword combat is a bit on the basic side, there is one aspect to it I really liked, which is that pulling off a full three-hit combo triggered a critical hit, dealing extra damage to the enemy and, if possible, knocking it off-balance to allow for further bonus damage on the next hit after that. In true Zelda style, more and more of the world opens up as you get more of those items, thus incentivizing the player to constantly revisit older areas and see what new treasures they can uncover. The player has a sword, a shield, a gun that serves as either a basic ranged attack or various selectable elemental projectiles, and a number of other gadgets that can be used in both exploration and combat. The gameplay in Oceanhorn 2 is nothing terribly complex, but it works. The first game, Monster of Uncharted Seas, played from a top-down perspective, while the sequel – subtitled Knights of the Lost Realm – uses a behind-the-character third-person camera. Still, here are the basics: Oceanhorn is a series of games that seek to emulate the Legend of Zelda series on an indie budget. I still have vague impressions of how it played, and I remember liking it well enough, but if you asked me to tell you any specifics about its story or level design I would not be able to. I played the first Oceanhorn game about four years ago, but I don’t remember it super well. Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm Cornfox & Bros. If you had very long lived feature branches, you might want to generate merge commits, but even then, I would probably figure out some way around it. Generally, I try to make sure that any feature branches get pulled into the main development branch fairly regularly. I want to present a picture of a perfect series of sequential commits in my main branch. Press enter on a line to view the commit where the line changed, or g to see other available maps. Force this behavior for any command with :Git -paginate or :Git -p.:Git blame uses a temporary buffer with maps for additional triage. I personally prohibit merge commits entirely in any workflow I have anything to do with, if only to make rebase happiness. :Git diff, :Git log, and other verbose, paginated commands have their output loaded into a temporary buffer. Now I need to identify the commit hash (hashes) which added those lines (deleted 38,39 and 40 lines) to the file, but the blame view for the file shown in here does not show the history for the deleted lines. Commits reachable from any of the commits given on the command line form a set, and then commits reachable from any of. With any luck, it will go all the way through and you'll have a new clean branch where that folder was never deleted in the first place. You can think of this as a set operation. Now, check the file again to make sure there's nothing bad in it, and then execute it in your shell: source cherries.sh This will mean that the script stops if there is any problem and doesn't keep going, applying all sorts of useless commits after an error. The Repositoriestool window will open containing the snapshot of your project at the selected revision. File Blame will color code the commit author of each line or hunk. File History shows that file’s commit history on the left. You may also click on a commit in the graph and then right click a file to access File History or File Blame. Select a commit and choose Show Repository at Revisionfrom the context menu. To access either option, click to view the file diff and the options will appear in the upper right. Also remove any commit reverting that one. Open the Gittool window Alt+9and switch to the Logtab. Remove it or you won't actually fix the problem. The first line will cherry pick the deletion of "client" dir. This leaves you with a file cherries.sh that will cherry pick all the non-merge commits. I'm assuming that exactly your merge commits contain the string "Merge pull request", which is true of this one codebase I'm experimenting on - you should check the history to find a grep that exactly only matches merges! Now, do this one-liner: git log -reverse -oneline -grep="Merge pull request" -invert-grep fixed.feature \ Go back to the commit ID before deleting /client and then git cherry-pick all non merge commits after that.Ĭreate a new branch fixed that ends with the last commit before "temp removed client dir" Here's a hacky solution if you're on *nux or Cygwin, but one that will work, and likely without user intervention, and you'll end up losing the merge commits. Git rebase -preserve-merges or -rebase-merges is supposed to do that, but I never really got my head around these. Git rebase -i is the logical solution, but you have a ton of merge commits in there, and this is preventing rebasing, am I right? If you want to use Handbrake to rip DVDs for smaller size yet good quality, you can convert DVD into MKV encoded with H.265. Choose a hardware encoder if any for faster ripping speed, such as H.264 (VCE) or H.264 (NVENC). Normally, we select H.264 for its wide compatibility. Video Encoder: you can ask Handbrake to rip a DVD using H.264, H.265, or other encoders. Under the Video tab, you can adjust the Framerate, Video Codec, DVD ripping quality, etc. Here we recommend the best Handbrake DVD ripping settings in video, subtitles, picture, etc. to make the output videos more personalized. Step 5: Tweak the Handbrake DVD Ripping SettingsĪdjust the output parameters of the picture, video filters, video, audio, subtitles, chapters, etc. You can set your encoding settings manually based on the target device. Click on the Summary tab and you can use Handbrake to rip DVD to MKV, MP4 (M4V), or WebM for free. "Web" is good for outputting the ripped DVD movie for easy sharing or emailing, e.g. 720p or 1080p won't make the movie look better but only makes the file larger in size.ģ. Choose the 480p preset when you rip a US DVD and the 576p preset if the DVD is from European. The Fast and Very Fast ensure smaller file size but lower quality while the HQ and Super HD will result in more space occupation but higher quality.Ģ. You may want to use Handbrake General for DVD ripping if you want to watch a DVD. "General" is better for high-quality playback or fast DVD rip. Handbrake provides handy presets for General, Web, Devices(Apple TV, Android, Chromecast, Windows mobile, Roku, PlayStation, etc.), MKV, Hardware, and Production.ġ. Click the Preset drop-down menu and choose an output from the right side of the main window. Next, you need to select an encoding preset for Handbrake DVD ripping. Step 4: Choose an Encoding Preset and Output Format Unless you wish to encode a specific range of chapters, you are suggested to leave the chapter drop-down menus at their default values. When it comes to ripping an episode of a TV show in Handbrake, please choose the one with 22 or 44 minutes and kick off DVD ripping separately. If you have a source with multiple titles, you can queue these up using the "Add to Queue" button.Ģ. If you want to rip the entire movie, the track with the longest duration is usually the one you shall choose. Handbrake will select the main title by default.ġ. Once the source DVD data is loaded, you will see the Title drop-down menu at the upper left-hand corner. If it's a protected DVD that Handbrake and libdvdcss can't rip, it will pop up a message saying that there is no valid title. It may take several seconds for scanning. The libdvdcss library will work in the background to bypass the copy protection, detect the correct DVD data, and help Handbrake to rip a protected DVD on Mac/Windows 11/10/7. On macOS, it will ask you to select a source DVD when you open Handbrake. On Windows, Handbrake will list your DVD drive under Source Selection. Insert the source DVD into your Mac/PC's optical drive and launch HandBrake. To remove complicated copy-protection schemes, you'd better get a protected DVD ripper instead of using Handbrake and libdvdcss. Many users run into Handbrake crashing/hanging problem even with libdvdcss installed. But DVDs now are protected with more advanced protections like 99 titles, bad sectors, etc. Warning: libdvdcss can help Handbrake rip DVDs with CSS. Then press Command+Space and search for Terminal to launch a command line window > type in brew install libdvdcss and hit enter. Then paste the code usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL )" into the app > press return and follow the instructions to download Homebrew. Go to Application > Utilities folder > Terminal. Get around this with the aid of Homebrew: If you are running Ventura, Monterey, Big Sur, etc., downloading libdvdcss on Mac can be tricky as Mac's security feature SIP prevents the installation of libdvdcss. If you are running on a Mac Yosemite or older, just download libdvdcss on Mac and double-click to install it. For the original "Intel Core Duo" processor, you can only download the 32-bit version. For a Mac with a Core 2 Duo or later processor, the 64-bit version of Handbrake is more preferred than the 32-bit version as the former is about 10% faster. To use Handbrake 1.6.1 on Windows, you need to get Microsoft. Make sure your Windows/Mac computers have 500 MHz processor or better with at least 16MB RAM for Handbrake. For earlier Windows and macOS systems, find and download the old Handbrake releases.Ģ. The latest Handbrake 1.6.1 is compatible with Windows 10/11 and later, macOS 10.13 and later, and Linux. Go to Handbrake's official website at and download the correct version of Handbrake on your computer system.ġ.
